How the coverage data works
Each area lists real postcode districts, matched to council areas from an open dataset of UK postcode district centre points (Gibbs/uk-postcodes, released into the public domain under CC0). Distances are measured in a straight line from the centre of the M43 district to the centre of each district, so road distances are longer.
Northern Ireland and islands reached by ferry are not listed. Anglesey and Skye, which are joined to the mainland by road bridges, are. The same data is available as JSON at /api/coverage.json, and a single postcode can be checked at /api/coverage.json?postcode=OL6.
