What paperwork do I need for kerosene delivered into the wrong tank?

In brief

The supplier and its insurer usually need the uplift paperwork. Discarded kerosene is coded 13 07 03* (other fuels (including mixtures)) and carried as UN1223, class 3, packing group III. Call 07950 582635 or send an enquiry.

What goes on the consignment note

The note records what the waste is and its code, how much there is, its hazards, and who produced, carried and received it, with signatures at each stage.

Kerosene delivered into the wrong tank: the situation

A forecourt crossover or misdelivery puts one fuel into a tank meant for another, for example petrol into a diesel tank. Stop dispensing from the affected tank at once, isolate it, tell the supplier, and have the mixed fuel pumped out before the tank is flushed and refilled.

How City Fuel Services handles waste kerosene

Send us the five details: business and postcode, roughly how much waste kerosene there is, what it is and any contamination, how it is stored and reached, and whether you need one collection or regular ones. We assess it, confirm a rebate or a collection charge, and collect on a consignment note.
