One-off clear-out or regular fuel collections?
In brief
Regular fuel collections suit sites that produce waste fuel steadily, such as vehicle dismantlers and busy garages: fuel never builds up, storage stays within permit limits and collections can fit a planned route. A one-off clear-out suits a site closure, a tank replacement or a backlog. Call 07950 582635 or send an enquiry.
One-off or regular: side by side
| One-off clear-out | Regular collections | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Closures, tank work, a backlog, a single problem tank | Dismantlers, garages and depots producing fuel all year |
| Fuel held on site | Whatever has built up | Kept low |
| Planning | Booked to your deadline | Booked ahead on a set pattern |
| Effect on terms | Depends on the load | Fits a planned route, which helps |
Regular fuel collections: choosing a frequency
Work it out from how much fuel you produce and how much you can store. If you drain about 250 litres a week and hold two IBCs, you have 2,000 litres of space: full in about eight weeks. A collection every six weeks leaves headroom for busy spells.
Common choices are weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly, or "as needed" when you call us at a set level. If your permit limits how much you may store, set the frequency so you never get near the limit.
When a one-off makes sense
Choose a one-off when the fuel will not come back: a site closing, a tank being replaced, or old stock being cleared. Tell us the date you need it gone by. See redundant fuel collection for clearing old stock.
More questions
Can I change the frequency later?
Yes. If your volumes change, tell us and we adjust the schedule.
Do regular collections earn better terms?
They can, because planned collections that fit a route cost less to run. Terms still depend on each load.
What if I have an urgent problem between collections?
Contact us with the details. Urgent visits are possible, but they can affect the terms.
